Position Title: Firefighter EMT-B/Firefighter Paramedic
Clark County Fire District 3 is currently testing for Entry-Level Firefighter EMT-B, Lateral Firefighter EMT-B, Entry-Level Firefighter EMT-P, and Lateral Firefighter EMT-P positions. Candidates must complete the National Testing Network's (NTN) FireTEAM exam and CPAT for consideration.
Applications will be accepted from October 1 to November 30.
Salary Information: $6,373.45 - $11,881.92 monthly.

Job Requirements:
Age: 18
Citizenship: U.S. required
Education: High school diploma or GED
Driver's License: Valid license required
Language: Must read and speak English
Vision: Must meet medical standards set by the district
Preferred Qualifications:
Washington State EMT, EMT-P, or NREMT certification
Washington Certified Paramedic or NREMT-P for lateral candidates
Certifications: IFSAC Firefighter I, Hazardous Materials Awareness, and Operations
NWCG Wildland Firefighter Type II Red Card Certification
Associate degree or higher
Hiring Process:
Complete CPAT and FireTEAM exams through NTN.
Submit application and required documents electronically between October 1 and November 30.
First-round interviews and paramedic assessments follow the scheduled interview panels.
Final interviews with the Fire Chief.
Pre-employment evaluations, including psychological and medical evaluations.
Description:
Firefighters and Firefighter Paramedics provide emergency medical services and respond to fires, explosions, and other hazards. Responsibilities include emergency response, fire operations, fire prevention, training, equipment operation and maintenance, and station upkeep. Firefighters work a 24-hour shift or 40-hour workweek as assigned.
