Rate: $40 up to $50 per hour

We are seeking a dynamic Elementary Art Teacher who can cultivate creativity, encourage artistic expression, and nurture a love for the visual arts in students. About the RoleAs an Elementary Art Teacher , you will play a vital role in fostering students’ creativity and appreciation for the arts. You will design engaging lessons that introduce various artistic techniques, history, and styles, encouraging students to express themselves in unique and meaningful ways.
What You'll Do Teach fundamental art concepts, including drawing, painting, lettering, and art history.
Guide students in developing their artistic abilities and understanding of aesthetic concepts.
Demonstrate techniques in various art forms, including acrylic painting, dry brushing, layering, and mono-printing.
️ Provide individualized and small-group instruction to support students with diverse artistic abilities.
Organize and manage art materials, tools, and classroom space to foster a productive learning environment.
Evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and prepare progress reports.
Plan and coordinate student art exhibitions to showcase their work within the school and community.
Collaborate with faculty, parents, and counselors to support student growth and success.
Stay up to date with best practices in art education and participate in professional development opportunities.
Maintain compliance with school policies and procedures while promoting a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Education, Art, or a related field.
Certification: Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate in Art Education PK-12 is preferred but not required .
Clearances: Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check, Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Criminal Background Clearance.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong knowledge of artistic techniques, styles, and history.
Excellent classroom management, organization, and instructional delivery skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Proficiency in integrating technology into art education.
Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
Familiarity with Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) and Response to Instruction and Intervention (RTII) methodologies is a plus.
