Job Title: Electrical Engineer Job Description As our new Electrical Engineer, you will be part of a multi-discipline design/engineering team focused on the industrial manufacturing market. You will work closely with our Lead Electrical Engineer, focusing on developing engineering solutions for our clients and supporting projects across the US. Your role involves providing electrical engineering designs for our projects over their total life cycle, ranging from technical studies and front-end loading stages to detailed engineering design and constructability reviews.
Hard Skills - Power Distribution Systems Design and Engineering based on the National Electrical Code and on Client Specifications
- Facility Lighting Systems Design and Engineering
- Grounding Systems Design and Engineering
- Power Panel Schedule Development
- Motor Control System Design and Engineering
- Process Control Panel Design and Engineering
- Process Instrumentation Wiring Diagrams
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology and 5+ years of qualifying engineering experience in the engineering/design field
- PE license or desire to pursue PE licensure
- Experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams)
- Practical experience with engineering calculations (Short Circuit, Overcurrent Protection Coordination, and ArcFlash) utilizing computer modeling software
- Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code(NEC)
- Practical experience with Autodesk Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD MEP
- Practical experience with lighting design software AGI32 or similar
Soft Skills - Effective communication and documentation skills, including liaising with project team, outside contacts, customers, and other engineering departments
Job Type This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s).
Work Site This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Charlotte, North Carolina and some days remote.
Work Environment Option to work in our Winston-Salem Greensboro Office. The office has about 10 people. Also, there's the option of working in our large open office in Acro Corporate Center (Across from TopGolf) with 75 people, where 55 are in the engineering department. Work hours are from 9am to 5pm, with the flexibility to work from home 3 days a week and in office 2 days a week (Tuesday being Mandatory).
