Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer II to join our dynamic Echocardiology team. In this role, you will perform high-quality echocardiographic diagnostic tests in accordance with established policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and demonstrate strong technical proficiency in both 2D and 3D cardiac imaging.

Sign on Bonus: $20,000 (3 years of experience required) 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and interpret echocardiographic exams with a high degree of accuracy.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound and diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Accurately capture, label, and store images in CPACS and complete sonographer reports.
• Maintain knowledge of patient conditions, document findings, and support appropriate clinical interventions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to new staff and students.
• Maintain required supplies and ensure clean and functioning equipment.
• Support continuous quality improvement efforts across the department.

Qualifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer through CCI.
• At least 1 year of experience in echocardiography with demonstrated competence in 2D/3D imaging.
• Must be comfortable working with various patient populations.
• Proficient in EPIC and CPACS workflow for orders, documentation, and billing.
• Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
• Must pass a comprehensive drug screening as part of employment.
• Understanding that this is a drug-free campus environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in hospital-based or multi-patient care settings.
• Previous involvement in training or mentoring staff/students.
• Familiarity with contrast-enhanced imaging protocols.
