We are seeking a talented Donor and Prospect Research Manager to join our dynamic team!

The Donor and Prospect Research Manager is responsible for the proactive and systematic planning, development, and prioritization of major gift prospect research processes and procedures for Ministry Advancement. Therolewill play a crucial part in driving the organization's fundraising efforts by leveraging expertise in data mining, modeling, and delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Proactively plan, develop, and prioritize major gift prospect research processes and procedures
  • Manage the identification, evaluation, reporting, and maintenance of relevant information on major gift prospects
  • Analyze, interpret, visualize, and communicate biographical, financial, and institutional engagement information needed to facilitate giving invitations
  • Collaborate with Giver Ministries and IMB senior leadership for the development of major gift asks
  • Prioritize and rank major gift prospects based on their capacity, inclination, and affinity
  • Acquire and manage wealth screening databases and services
  • Identify and communicate giving patterns and trends through data mining of internal and external databases
  • Develop surveys and referral systems for existing givers to recommend potential major gift prospects including international prospective givers
  • Ensure alignment of major gift prospects with IMB's vision, mission, and objectives
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of research, engagement, and major gift ask strategies.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Decision Science, Business Management, Finance or related field (preferred)
  • At least 5-8 years of relevant analytics and research experience
  • Strong competency in data mining, data modeling, and delivery
  • Experience working in a nonprofit or fundraising environment
  • Familiarity with fundraising databases and CRM systems
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Skilled in data visualization using tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or ArcGIS
  • Skilled in storytelling with data that goes beyond the first take and numbers to provide actionable insights.
