Disability Review Specialist

Full-Time M-F, 8 hour shifts

MMRO is seeking a highly organized and professional Disability Review Specialist to support the full lifecycle of disability review services. In this role, you will coordinate between referring parties and Physicians to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of independent medical evaluations and reviews.

This is a detail-oriented, high-accountability role ideal for candidates with strong communication skills, healthcare operations experience, and a commitment to service excellence, quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and review disability case requests for service type and potential conflicts of interest
• Select and coordinate with appropriate Physician Reviewer based on specialty, availability, and credentialing
• Create customized physician report templates for each disability review case
• Serve as the primary liaison between referring parties and Physician Reviewers throughout the review process
• Finalize and deliver reports in alignment with clinical and compliance standards
• Accurately document all case activities and billing inputs in internal systems
• Protect confidential patient information in full compliance with company policy
• Collaborate with Quality Nurse Reviewer and clinical leadership as needed

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years related experience (healthcare, insurance, or medical coordination preferred)
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service and professional phone/email presence
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data entry systems
• Working knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and perform well under pressure

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in medical review, disability review, or similar healthcare coordination role
• 1+ year experience in telephonic medical/clinical support and data entry
• Advanced data/documentation accuracy and detail orientation
