Why We Need you!

  • Ivanti is seeking an experienced Director of Product Security to lead our renewed product security initiatives. This role entails being an agent of change for Product Security within the CPO organization. It will involve driving initiatives to bolster product security across multiple lines. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, proven experience in building and managing software security programs, and a track record of success in enhancing product security. Key responsibilities include strategic partnerships with security and product teams and key stakeholders including the CPO, SVP of Engineering, CISO, and field-facing teams. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of driving product security initiatives, skilled at leading cross-functional teams to implement secure software development practices.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Lead the development and management of robust software security programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing security across diverse product lines.
  • Formulate and execute comprehensive strategies for implementing secure software development practices, ensuring the integrity and resilience of our products.
  • Direct the Product Security team within the CPO org, offering strategic guidance and leadership to achieve organizational security objectives.
  • Devise long-term security plans tailored to the unique needs of multiple product lines, aligning them with overarching business goals.
  • Periodically evaluate the security testing tools utilized by the CPO org and make recommendations for alternatives where appropriate.
  • Guide the DevOps organization on automation and orchestration of security testing in line with industry best practices.
  • Ensure the seamless execution of security initiatives, overseeing their progress and addressing any challenges that may arise.
  • Develop actionable reports and dashboards that communicate the overall product security posture.
  • Foster and nurture trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to the CISO, CPO, and field representatives.
  • Provide specialized expertise in secure coding, architecture and design, application security, rigorous security testing, and the implementation of secure operational practices.
  • Uphold exceptional communication skills and interpersonal acumen, facilitating clear and effective collaboration across teams and departments.

To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in product security, software security, vulnerability management, or secure development
  • 5+ years of experience managing and leading cross-functional teams
  • Expertise in secure coding, secure architecture and design, threat modeling, application security, security testing, and secure operations
  • Knowledge of Secure Software Development frameworks and success in implementing these frameworks
  • Skilled in reviewing and analyzing test results from various application security testing tools.
  • A proven track record of driving initiatives that increase security across multiple product lines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to building and maintaining trusting relationships with key stakeholders.
