Description Summary: Responsible for the overall operational and strategic direction, administration, and coordination of all activities within the Security and Surveillance division.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: - Hire, train, develop, measure performance, and discipline of division's leadership staff.
- Develop, implement, execute, and achieve long and short-term divisional business strategies.
- Formulate and operate within annual marketing plan, operating budget, and capital budget to accomplish goals and objectives.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of financial reports to monitor the profitiablity and expenses of the division and take appropriate action by creating and implementing strategies and tactics to reduce cost and/or increase revenue.
- Develop and implement staffing plans that provide divisional leadership and appropriate labor to meet guest service and operational expectations.
- Provide and monitor the efficient policing of the property.
- Maintain public order, providing comfort and safety to patrons and team members.
- Provide training for Officers in the use of Chemical Spray and Handcuffs, and instruct Officers on the correct use of such self-defense weapons.
- Oversee all investigations and make recommendations as to how each investigation is handled.
- Ensures that all-internal control policies and procedures are adhered to. Work with the casino management staff in solving problems which are discovered.
- Monitors day-to-day gaming employees and reports any non-adherence or wrongdoing with respect to policy, procedure and gaming law.
- Conducts internal investigations as necessary to determine non-compliance issues.
- Investigates and reports all suspicion of wrong doing in connection with gaming activities.
- Comply with all reporting requirements as directed by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
- Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements Qualifications - Ten (10) years Security and Surveillance management experience.
- Criminal law courses, BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Complete knowledge of live action Casino games and cheating methods.
- Bachelor's degree or 120 college credits or equivalent combination of knowledge and experience.
- Six (6) years in a Supervisory position.
- Working knowledge of computer systems for security.
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
- Verify right to work in the United States.
- Computer literate -required when writing reports with Security systems.
- Ability to express self in writing and verbally.
- Ability to respond to complaints and be able to resolve them in a safe, professional, and courteous manner.
- Ability to understand the (MICS) Minimum Internal Control Standards of the company.
- Ability to handle complaints with sensitivity.
- Knowledge of the Laws of Detention.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints regulatory agencies, or members of the internal business community.
- Extensive and expert knowledge of gaming regulation and standards with regard to Surveillance Operations.
- The primary language spoken and written is English. Must have the ability to read and interpret written Rules and Regulations.
