We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual for the role of Permanent Director of Finance. This is an outstanding opportunity for a finance professional with a proven track record to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and coordinating all aspects of our company's finance and accounting functions. This includes direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, and depreciating assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.
  • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
  • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets, and consolidation and reporting to the company.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Develop and lead a team of finance and accounting professionals that has the ability to scale with the company’s growth plans.
  • Oversee the company's transaction processing systems and implement operational best practices.
  • Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package.
  • Supervise the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior finance role, with a strong preference for experience in the finance industry.
  • Proven experience with financial management, strategic planning, and depreciating assets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations essential.
  • Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Ability to effectively use financial management software and applications.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations, as well as GAAP.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and experience with managing relationships with investors and partners.
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
