Job Summary:
The Digital Content and Social Media Manager (DCSMM) plays a crucial role in orchestrating the development and dissemination of content across Frontier Nursing University's (FNU) digital landscape, encompassing the website, blog, and social media channels. The goal of the DCSMM is to create and share compelling and dynamic content that will build and sustain awareness of Frontier Nursing University’s mission and educational programs.
The DCSMM is a key component of the marketing team and the overall advancement team of FNU. The role of the DCSMM is vital for shaping FNU’s online image, engaging with colleagues across the organization, and leveraging digital channels to shape FNU’s online image.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute FNU’s social media strategy by creating, managing and distributing powerful and relevant digital content through social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, while supporting FNU’s strategic communication needs.
Coordinate copywriting and editing for digital and social media content.
Create and manage a social media calendar and social media advertising plan.
Plan and implement university website content strategy in collaboration with diverse stakeholders and oversee analytics and search engine optimization.
Create graphics, imagery, and video content for distribution across digital communications platforms for needs including recruitment, branding, and advancement purposes.
Develop and execute a measurable plan with metrics of fan engagement strategies for social media campaigns.
Engage industry and media contacts through social media
Oversee design and ensure brand consistency on all online social platforms.
Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, design and strategy and analyze competitors, industry and target audiences to identify threats and opportunities.
Monitor and analyze higher education and competitor digital content, and effective benchmarks and best practices for measuring the impact of social media campaigns.
Serves as university representative for in-person recruiting or brand awareness events as needed.
Provide service to the University through activities such as involvement in FNU shared governance (e.g. committees, workgroups), FNU sponsored activities (e.g. charity drives, community-outreach activities), and/or service to the profession (e.g. presentations, profession organization committee work).

Required Skills/Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient knowledge of leveraging social media technologies such as Facebook, Twitter,
YouTube, blogs, and working knowledge of web analytics software.
Proficiency in design applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, Premiere Pro or basic video editing software.
Proficiency in using personal computer and various office software packages including word processing, video and photo editing, spreadsheet, presentation, calendaring, and email management.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree required

Reporting Relationship:
Reports directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications.
