Role Purpose The purpose of this role is to design, test, and maintain software programs for operating systems or applications, ensuring they meet 100% quality assurance parameters. The role involves understanding requirements, designing software solutions, developing, testing, and deploying software, and collaborating with various teams to ensure successful implementation. Responsibilities Understand client requirements and translate them into feasible software designs. Develop software by studying information needs, system flow, data usage, and work processes. Investigate problem areas and follow the software development lifecycle. Perform root cause analysis of system issues and problem statements. Identify ideas to improve system performance and availability. Collaborate with functional teams and systems analysts on detailed investigations into software requirements. Coordinate with project managers to understand software capabilities. Write code and ensure optimal module development. Evaluate operational feasibility and develop and automate processes for software validation. Modify software to fix errors, adapt to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces. Analyze information to recommend and plan system installations or modifications. Ensure code is error-free and well-tested. Prepare reports on project specifications, activities, and status. Document code and solutions clearly and comprehensively. Coordinate daily project status updates and documentation. Provide feedback on usability and report quality risks. Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders and clients. Participate in training to stay current with best practices and new technologies. Develop and demonstrate documentation, flowcharts, diagrams, and code comments. Ensure quality interactions with clients and timely responses to requests. Engage in stakeholder interactions internally and externally for project success. Competencies Knowledge of current and upcoming technologies and programming languages.
