Our Client is seeking Day Support Specialists in the Wrentham. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm.

CLIENT'S HOURLY RATE
* Up to $20/hr. dependent on Contractor's experience, education, availability, and skills.

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
The Day Support Specialist will be part of a team that works directly with adults with disabilities in a busy Day Habilitation Program. You will provide direct care and skill training to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a day habilitation setting to support daily living and social skills. Additional direct care services include assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), toileting and feeding, lifting, transferring, walking, and emergency evacuation.
* Provide instruction and reinforce personal care/hygiene tasks, community living, communication and socialization skills
* Implement person-centered activities and goals that create and maintain a supportive environment
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation including progress notes and reports that meet State and federal requirements
* Monitor medication intake

CLIENT'S REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Minimum of one (1) year experience working with adults with intellectually and/or developmentally disabilities in a health care setting
*Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
*Ability to lift and support body weight of any program individual with the assistance of another employee.
* Ability to maintain First Aid/CPR, and other certifications as required
* Must possess a valid driver's license to transport Individuals as needed
