Lume Consulting Group , a Sacramento-based IT consulting company, is seeking a skilled Data Scientist experienced in Data Cleaning - Proficiency in Stata and Python is required (Remote/Part-time) Qualifications Master’s level training or equivalent experience in survey methodology, applied statistical analysis, data science/analytics, or computational social science. Experience working with demographic, workforce, and/or business survey data. Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: R, Python, or Stata. Experience transforming raw survey data into a useable format for statistical and/or demographic analysis. Experience with all aspects of data management, including merging, cleaning, transforming, harmonizing, verifying, and publishing data for analysis. Experience evaluating data quality and verifying the validity of data. Experience creating, managing, and maintaining databases, data dictionaries, and codebooks. Experience applying disclosure avoidance techniques (e.g., evaluating risk of disclosure, identifying techniques to protect data confidentiality, etc.) to confidential data and preparing public data products. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong technical writing skills.
