This individual will work with teams to validate milestones and compliance metrics, work with several cross functional stakeholders to coordinate proposals and milestone schedules, and work on mitigating any project risks. The Project Engineer (PE) will lead meetings with a variety of technical and non-technical teams. This individual will feel comfortable maintaining and revising SOP's and user best-practice guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manages Pre-Construction and Construction processes for updating project trackers and tools (Excel/Smartsheet) responding to internal customer requests, presenting updates to senior leadership, escalating risks and coordinating with stakeholders for scheduling of milestone events.
• Knowledge Required: Excel and/or Smartsheet Advanced Formulas, Pivot Tables, etc.
• Knowledge Desired (but not required): Smartsheet Add-ons, Excel Macros (Visual Basic/C#), SQL, Python, Tableau, QuickSight, PowerBI, etc.
• Communicates ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences.
• Encourages a constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and coordinate the resolution of contentious issues (build consensus).
• Partners effectively with customers, stakeholders, and peer teams.
• Sets a great example to others. Routinely and efficiently delivers the right things and defines clear goals and tasks.
• Identifies risks and brings them to the attention of the team and stakeholders with plans for mitigation before they become roadblocks.
• Judiciously adds, refines, and removes procedures.
• Increases the productivity and effectiveness of the teams by applying project management best practices
• Coordinates with the Construction teams and other stakeholders for the purpose of validating project requirements, milestone schedule planning, and milestone forecasting.
• Assists with mitigating project risks and aligning project teams for at risk projects.
• Initiates/facilitates major project kick-offs and support handoff from planning teams to execution teams.
• Leads weekly meetings with a variety of technical and non-technical teams, participates in contractor and vendor performance evaluations, manages, and maintains project and resource trackers, and provides weekly status updates to leadership teams.
• Runs weekly, monthly, quarterly reports with an ongoing cadence to support the team with data to help with project execution and business reviews. This includes reporting on progress and roadblocks.
• Partners with critical planning teams on project milestones (Real Estate, Capacity, Capital, Design, Startup, Launch).
• Fosters and maintains close relationships with internal stakeholders and understand our highest priority execution pain-points and opportunities, which will translate into benchmarking initiatives that improve processes, tools, and team capabilities.
• Reports key insight trends, using statistical rigor to simplify and inform the larger team of noteworthy story lines.
• Translates complex or ambiguous business problem statements into analysis requirements.

Must Haves:

• Experience with medium to large datasets
• SQL and creating SQL queries
• Very proficient with Excel and/or SmartSheet (advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• Experience with any of these (Smartsheet add-ons, Excel Macros, Visual Basic/C#, SQL, Python, Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI, etc.)
• Ability to communicate and problem solve with minimal supervision

Nice to have:

• Experience with Salesforce
• Previous experience in construction
• Previous experience in large organization
