As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced CPA/Accountant to join our dynamic team.

We are seeking a CPA/Accountant to manage and oversee all financial aspects of our trucking insurance agency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of the trucking industry and insurance accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
• Conduct regular financial analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Maintain accurate and complete financial records in accordance with GAAP
  
• Prepare and file all necessary tax documents and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance efficiency
• Provide financial guidance and support to management and other departments
• Create Profit & Loss Statements
• Research tax issues & legislation, as well as give insight to management on these matters
• Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes
• Perform internal audits and coordinate with external auditors as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant tax experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and insurance accounting practices, as well as tax laws
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
