Job Description
2nd Chance Clinic in Lexington, KY is an addiction treatment center serving adults in the greater central Kentucky area. We are currently seeking experienced, self-motivated Licensed Counselors to become part of our behavioral health care team.
In this position you will coordinate the psychological therapy to aid the patient in identifying a progressive timeline for addressing the causes of addiction. You will design an individualized strategic care plan to assist the patient in recovery through both individual and group therapy.

Duties
Facilitate group therapy based on Hazelden Substance Abuse Curriculum model.
Facilitate individual therapy based on specific patient needs using a variety of therapeutic techniques.
Maintain accurate and complete files on each patient.
Liaise with case managers, physicians, and other health care professionals.
Identify potential threats to patient’s success in treatment and develops plans to overcome obstacles to completion of therapy.
Develop relationships with outside referral sources if necessary.
Respond to all patient grievances in accordance with written policies.
Participate in quality assurance and utilization review.
Collaborate with Behavioral Health staff for the best treatment and care for patients.
LPCC's/LCSW's may be required to supervise LPCA's/CSW's and other associates under supervision.
File client notes and charts.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
*Part-time positions are also available.
LICENSURE IS REQUIRED (LPCC, LPCA, CSW, LCSW, etc.) Candidate must be completely licensed or working towards full license and under supervision, at minimum.
Bachelor’s in behavioral health or related field, with a master’s, or doctoral degree in counseling or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills, high-level interpersonal skills and knowledge of record management is required. Time-management skills and maintaining a professional atmosphere at all times is required. Must work well on own as well as team setting. Must be able to take direction, get along with other Behavioral Health Professionals and clinic staff, while taking initiative to work diligently on own. Must be flexible in regards to the day-to-day tasks and schedules that may change at times in order to best accommodate patients.
A complete background check will be required for all new-hires.
