CARPET BINDER/UPHOLSTERER

Job Description: Seeking an experienced carpet binder/upholsterer. This position will be working in the warehouse, Monday through Friday, from 7am to 4pm in Whitehall, Ohio.

Responsibilities include the following:

• Work with their designated stacker on stacking carpet onto the air table
• Serging rugs correctly for appearance and durability
• Color matching yarn to rugs
• Attach new yarn to current yarn
• Perform any necessary adjustments (such as changing thread, needles, etc)
• Other job duties assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Prior rug binding experience preferred
• Sense of urgency in performing tasks
• Multi-tasking skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Excellent attendance
• Must be able to bend, knee and stand during shift
• Perform quality checks to ensure specifications are being met
• Adhere to safety protocols
• Keep work station neat and tidy
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks for extended periods of time
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and as a team
• Read and interpret basic math and measurements
