The Asset Protection Corporate Investigator is responsible for managing, conducting, and resolving complex investigations to protect the People, Brand, and Property of Bath & Body Works. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Asset Protection.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Serves as the subject matter expert on corporate investigations and all the tools/technology to support.
- Conducts, documents and resolves investigations related to the Home Office, Distributions Centers, BBW Direct (E-Commerce), Loyalty Program, Social Media, and Intellectual Property.
- Conducts productive interviews and surveillance as needed in accordance with company policy.
- Serves as a support in conducting investigations related to internal theft in stores, background checks and cyber, as needed.
- Maintains accurate records and prepare case briefs and recaps in accordance with company standards.
- Makes recommendations to leadership to better protect the People, Brand and Property of Bath & Body Works.
- Builds and maintains highly effective and strategic cross-functional partnerships to ensure compliance with company standards and protect company assets.
- Builds and maintains highly effective professional relationships with law enforcement at the local, state, and national levels without losing sight of business priorities and company values.
- Maintains a high degree of personal accountability and follows all company policies, to include but not limited to policies around interviewing, surveillance, reporting, case management, and prosecution.
- Maintains awareness and understanding of industry trends and current professional standards regarding investigations in the retail sector.
Qualifications - 5 - 7 years in loss prevention, asset protection, law enforcement or security experience
- Experience interviewing subjects for theft is necessary with W-Z the expected method of delivery
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must uphold themselves to the highest standard / lead by example
- Ability to build strong business relationships with all levels of an organization
- 10% travel expected
EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
