Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced financial controller to undertake various aspects of financial management for the Marthaler Ashland Honda Toyota location. The successful applicant will be responsible for accounting operations, production of periodic financial reports and maintenance of accounting records.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manage all finance and accounting operations including cash flow, billing, A/R, A/P and Payroll.
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
Reconcile the General Ledger, remit monthly sales and use taxes and create journal entries in accordance with transactions.
Monitor accounting schedules.
Assist with month-end closing processes and year-end audit and tax preparation.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Establish and maintain financial controls with the store manager and co-workers.
Provide support to management, particularly in financial matters.
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Additional duties as necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business, accounting, finance or related field required.
Proven work experience in accounting or a related field.
Knowledge of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skills.
Advanced computer skills; including MS Office.
Strong communication skills; ability to communicate financial information
