Client : FL Government Agency

Job Title : Contract Writer

Location : Boca Raton, FL

Pay Rate Range : $40.00 - $53.00 an hour (+benefits)

Work Mode : onsite

Interview Mode : Video (must be on-camera), onsite for 2nd round for all local candidates (highly preferred)

Contract Length : 1 year to start, extensions expected

Position Summary: The Contract Writer is responsible for drafting and reviewing documentation related to procurement activities, including but not limited to:

  • Purchase Orders
  • Service Agreements
  • Vendor Contracts
  • Modifications and Amendments

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating contract documentation that covers: Scope of services, Performance requirements, Terms and conditions
  • Developing language that clearly defines: Delivery, Service, Quality
  • Pricing for procured services/products
  • Ensuring clear, consistent language across all documents
  • Coordinating with business units and stakeholders to meet departmental requirements and protocols
  • Maintaining an internal documentation library
  • Providing/coordinating special documentation services as needed
  • Overseeing special projects

Required Skills:

  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Excellent writing and editing skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Technical Writing, Business Administration, or related field OR equivalent work experience

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of business or technical writing experience
  • Working knowledge of procurement processes and documentation

Complexity:

  • Intermediate professional level role
  • Works on several moderately to highly complex document management projects
  • May provide coaching to junior staff
