Posting Summary
Rutgers UniversityNewark, an urban public research university and anchor institution located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise, is seeking two Non-Credit, Non-Teaching Coadjutants (Math Specialist and English Specialist) for the TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program within the Academic Foundations Center. This position is a collaborative partnership between the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) and the SSS program.
The duties include but are not limited to the following:
Train and supervise tutoring staff and provide direct academic support in Math or English to participants of the SSS program.
Maintain weekly office hours.
Render one-on-one tutoring sessions.
Assess a student's tutoring needs.
Advise SSS staff on assessment results and tutoring needs.
Communicate with faculty on behalf of students when necessary.
Document services rendered.
Provide bi-weekly reports on services rendered.
Attend bi-monthly SSS staff meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
