Job Description Summary
Clinical Research Project Manager A
Responsible for day to day management of complex projects conducted with collaborators both internal and external to Penn. With mentoring from the Principal Investigator and a Senior Project Manager, the Clinical Research Project Manager will take leadership role in managing the detailed operations of projects, coordinating activities in single center and multicenter studies (including international sites), assisting with quality control and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, developing study protocols, helping with grant writing. He/she will help develop the team's research strategy and may have opportunities to lead projects and co-author papers. Will be required to ensure that studies/research are conducted safely and according to protocol, provide supervision to educators and teams conducting the study/interventions and collaborates with peers from other Universities and funding agencies. Will also be responsible for coordinating grant applications and interacts with funding administrators and the University Business Office. The Project Manager will also participate in training for and conducting study visits for assigned studies, in conjunction with staff he/she supervises. With limited oversight from the Principal Investigator, the Clinical Research Project Manager B will take a leadership role in managing the detailed operations of projects, coordinating activities in single center and multicenter studies (including international sites), instituting quality assurance and quality control procedures for analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, developing study protocols and standardized operating procedures, helping with grant writing and budget development He/she will help develop the team's research strategy, operational practices, and logistics, and may have opportunities to lead projects and co-author papers. Will be required to ensure that studies/research are conducted safely and according to protocol, provide supervision to educators and teams conducting the study/interventions and collaborates with peers from other Universities and funding agencies. Will also be responsible for coordinating grant applications and interacts with funding administrators and the University Business Office. The Project Manager B will also participate in training for and conducting study visits for assigned studies, in conjunction with staff he/she supervises, as well as conduct performance management for these staff members. He/She plays a primary role communicating with internal and external stakeholders and in other dissemination activities related to project findings. Multilingual (Spanish) preferred.

  • Interview, hire, onboard, and supervise coordinator and work study staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5-7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Master's degree and 3-5 years of experience preferred.
