Clinical Informaticist

The Clinical Informaticist is responsible for the analysis, development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical informatics activities related to patient care and clinical service lines, utilizing technology to optimize patient care delivery and effectively communicate patient care activity. This position efficiently and effectively evaluates, acquires, develops, implements and provides on-going support for clinical informatics software in support of business, regulatory, quality of care and outcome objectives. The Informaticist plans for future clinical information system requirements and improvements.

What You Can Expect

• Promotes active engagement of stakeholders in the oversight and management of the exchange of data, information, and knowledge.
• Leads adoption efforts targeting utilization of information technologies that advance practice and achieve desired outcome.
• Facilitates clinical workflow analysis and design activities.
• Defines expected outcomes in terms of the patient, patient values, ethical considerations, environment, organization, or situation with such considerations as associated risks, benefits, costs, and current evidence-based knowledge.
• Supports the use and integration of clinical guidelines into practice, information management system solutions, and knowledge base.
• Incorporates new knowledge data analytic strategies to initiate change in information and nursing practices.
• Uses the results of quality improvement activities to initiate changes in clinical and informatics practice and in the healthcare delivery system.
• Analyzing organizational systems for barriers and implementing processes to remove or decrease barriers within organizational systems.

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor's Degree Bachelors required if hired on or after 10/21/20
• Required Certificate Epic Clinical Informatics (CLN01) within 1 year of employment. Will consider other relevant Epic certification in lieu of CLN01
• 5 years Relevant Experience Required
• Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board if hired on or after 10/21/2020
• Informatics Nursing Certification (NI-BC) - American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
