We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation for individuals, businesses, estates, and trusts, as well as hands-on experience in bookkeeping and general accounting practices.

Qualifications:

• Active CPA license required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in tax preparation and accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and current tax laws.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Desktop, QBO, UltraTax, and other Thomson Reuters products).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with payroll and sales tax filings.
• Familiarity with payroll processing and compliance.
• Enrolled Agent.
• Prior experience in a public accounting firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
• Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services.
• Manage full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Handle monthly and quarterly bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients.
• Assist clients with accounting system setup and maintenance (e.g., QuickBooks).
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and accounting regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide proactive support.
• Collaborate with internal staff to ensure timely and accurate reporting and filings.
