Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service as a counter service attendant and a cashier
• Maintain the cleanliness of the cafe throughout the shift
• Restock food and beverage items as directed by management
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Follow NYC Department of Health regulations

Qualifications

• 1 to 2 years of hospitality experience in a customer-facing position
• Passion for food, beverage, and hospitality
• Strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to describe menu items
• Anticipates guest needs and derives satisfaction from providing excellent customer service
• Professional demeanor and polished appearance with a warm and welcoming personality
• Experience with restaurant POS systems, cash, and credit card handling is a plus
• Strong work ethic, well organized, focused, attentive to detail, with a sense of urgency
• Dependable and punctual
• Enthusiastic, team player with a positive attitude
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs, reach, bend, and stand throughout an 8-hour shift
• Food Handler’s Certificate is a plus

Schedule: Part Time, On-Site, Union Position.

Base salary: $19.00/hour

Benefits: Sick
