Job Description
Position Objective: This position supports Rubino & Company's client base with all aspects of tax client bookkeeping needs to include balancing and maintaining ledgers, managing bank deposits, preparing and generating monthly and quarterly tax returns, payroll and preparing financial reports.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities •Balance and maintain accurate ledgers by reconciling entries
•Coordinate bank deposits and report financial results on a regular basis
•Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
•Prepare quarterly and monthly tax returns along with payroll, operating and business taxes
•Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information and trends

Qualifications and Educational Requirements •Associate degree in accounting, finance or related field
•Previous experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
•Payroll processing experience
•Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
•Experience with QuickBooks, Excel, Word
•Minimum of five years of relevant experience in public accounting focusing on preparation of corporate and individual tax returns
•Proficiency with computers and spreadsheet software programs
Preferred Qualifications •Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
•Experience preparing quarterly and monthly tax returns
Job Requirements •Able to successfully pass a criminal background check (following a conditional offer of employment)
•Speak fluent English in order to communicate with other employees and clients verbally and in writing
•Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment
•Remain in sedentary position for long periods of time; however, needs the ability to move around the office to access office equipment, attend meetings, etc.
•Frequent communication with others and clients regarding projects and work product
•Available to work moderate overtime throughout the year with heavier overtime requirements during busy seasons
