Job Description
Summary
The AVP, Actuarial Models is responsible for overseeing and directing the Actuarial Model Governance team, primarily for the Moody's AXIS actuarial modeling software. Responsibilities include acting as model governor and chair of the Actuarial Model Governance Committee.
This position reports to the VP, Actuarial Models and will interact with multiple levels of senior management, including significant ongoing exposure with VPs of Actuarial, Finance, IT and Risk, as well as SVPs of Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Retail and Institutional Business Units, and the Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Officer. This is a leadership position and will manage a team of 4-6 team members, including responsibility for their selection, training and development in conjunction with the Chief Actuary and Human Resources' overall training and staff development plan for all actuaries.
