About the team
As a Business Analyst, The Operations Business Analyst demonstrates a high level of understanding of the business unit strategy and is responsible for the direct support of multiple aspects of the Americas Banking Solutions Division
NOTE: Preferred work location Orlando FL or Milwaukee WI
What you will be doing
Assumes responsibility for performing analysis and review functions for the business unit in support of the Operations Manager's detailed objectives.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
Reviews service contracts, identifies contract gaps, and coordinates with Account Management to correct.
Completes first pass pricing reviews for renewal contracts, Inhouse to service bureau and new core deals.
Manages and consolidates data related to renewals, Inhouse to Service Bureau and New Core prospects
Reviews financial data, summarizes and reports to Business Line Management related to renewals, migrations and New Core deals.
Hosts Monthly add on sales meetings to review pipeline and update divisional reporting
Maintains Divisional Pipeline and compression reporting
Develops and maintains system of tracking data issues and resolutions.
Develops and maintains tools (Excel spreadsheets, Access databases, other Microsoft products) used for assigned tracking and reporting.
Performs research and analysis to support business operations and presents findings to manager or project leader.
Plans and designs business processes and make recommendations and changes in order to improve and support business systems and activities and/or to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency.
Utilizes systems and data to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner.
Identifies and implements best practices and suggests how to improve current practices.
Calculates/estimates costs and benefits of alternative actions or solutions to establish their viability/return on investment.
Develops recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business operations.
Analyzes and documents business processes and metrics and identifies improvement opportunities.
Responsible for the creation of operational reporting, as needed.
Supports business unit's growth strategies.
Works on special projects as assigned.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, management information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
General knowledge, skills and abilities
- Knowledge of FIS' products and services
- Knowledge of the business goals, objectives and business operations for the appropriate FIS organization
- Knowledge of financial services industry
- Knowledge of basic financial analysis principles and ratios
- Willingly shares relevant knowledge and expertise to other resources
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team, customer service, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills
- Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in standard office software, such as MS Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
- Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
