Overview

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Route Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong driving skills, including experience with manual transmission vehicles, and the ability to navigate efficiently through designated routes. The Route Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Drive a commercial vehicle to deliver products to customers on assigned routes.
  
• Load and unload goods using a pallet jack and other equipment as necessary.
  
• Ensure all deliveries are made promptly while adhering to safety regulations.
  
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered.
  
• Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients at delivery locations.
  
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading processes and inventory management.
  

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving preferred.
  
• Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is essential.
  
• Previous experience as a courier, delivery driver, or in route driving is highly desirable.
  
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  
• Experience using a pallet jack and familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
  
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading deliveries.
  
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
