Job Description While this is a remote position, we would like to have candidates close to the Atlanta, GA office. The Terracon internship programs will support our (AI and data science group). In this program, you will take part in an exciting, fun, and meaningful work experience as you work alongside some of the brightest minds and state-of-the-art technology in industry. You will not only learn and advance technically but will also be provided with opportunities for professional development. You will be assigned a leader/mentor in the (data and analytics) field. The mentor will help you with career planning along with technical skill development. You will learn how data and AI/ML technology helps Terracon be a successful engineering company.
You will also have the opportunity to participate in a cohort. The cohort is a way for you to connect with other interns across the company and learn about their experiences. This is also a great way for you to start building your professional network! At the end of the summer, your cohort will present to our executive leadership team.
General Responsibilities This position will support the development and implementation of AI use cases by assisting with data preparation, model building, evaluation, and documentation.
Essential Roles And Responsibilities - Assist with data collection, cleaning, preprocessing, and exploratory analysis to support AI use case objectives.
- Implement and evaluate machine learning models using appropriate performance metrics.
- Contribute to model tuning, validation, and thorough documentation of methodologies and results.
- Conduct literature reviews and research to support solution development and stay informed on relevant AI advancements.
- Provide regular progress updates and actively engage in feedback sessions with the project supervisor.
Requirements Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have less than one year remaining to complete their degree.
Salary Range Undergraduate Junior/Senior - $25 – 30
Master’s - $30-35
