An established software company in San Francisco is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team on a temporary basis . This role will support technical accounting functions and reporting, with direct reporting to the Controller and a dotted-line relationship to the CFO. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong public accounting foundation and technical accounting expertise. Compensation: up to $140,000. Key Responsibilities: Manage the month-end and quarter-end close process Lead technical accounting efforts, including ASC 606 and ASC 842 Draft and maintain technical accounting memos Prepare for and assist with external audits Review software revenue and commissions in accordance with ASC 606 Oversee lease accounting and financial reporting under ASC 842 Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Public accounting background (Big 4 or national firm) required 6–8+ years of progressive accounting experience Experience with software/SaaS industry accounting preferred Proficiency in QuickBooks Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting standards
