Job Description

Century Group is working with a well known construction client south of the Denver metro area. Our client is in need of a strong Accountant with strong knowledge of GAAP. Local candidates only. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $50,000 to $63,000 per year.

Position Summary: This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including Month End Close, Financial Review, and Accounts Payable support. You will contribute to the team's success by actively participating in various accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Month End Close routines and reconcile various Balance Sheet accounts.
• Review Monthly Financial Statements and Job Cost and Status Reports.
• Serve as an accounting resource for Accounts Payable.
• Assist in testing, documenting, and implementing processes during the pending ERP Implementation.
• Contribute to the development and documentation of accounting procedures.
• Learn and be prepared to provide backup in various areas within the Accounting Department.
• Complete other assigned duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of projects while supporting team needs.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to work independently, offering solutions.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify anomalies, incorrect data entries, and errors using diverse tools and strategies.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
• Enjoys a diverse range of responsibilities.
