FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY (FVSU), a state and land-grant institution of the University System of Georgia, invites applications for the position of Academic Success Coach.

JOB SUMMARY:
The incumbent functions as an Academic Success Coach in the Student Engagement & Achievement (SEA) Center and reports to the Director of First- and Second-Year Experience. This position will intrusively advise, and support identified student cohorts, and/or caseloads in their course of study. In addition, the role will plan, coordinate, monitor and follow-up regarding tutoring, probation support and the satisfactory appeals (SAP). Achieve quantitative targets for retention, student success, and quality metrics on a regular basis. Assist students in improving academic achievement by meeting with them on a weekly/biweekly basis to support student success. Work with staff and faculty on a regular basis to provide quality support and advisement to assigned student cohorts.
