As our 3D Visualization Artist, you will bring Maiden Home’s luxury furniture and interiors to life through exceptional photorealistic renderings that capture the beauty, craftsmanship, and atmosphere of our brand. You’ll own the full 3D visualization process—from modeling and material development to lighting and post-production—ensuring every image reflects our elevated design sensibility. Collaborating closely with our design, marketing, and eCommerce teams, you’ll shape the visual voice of the brand across digital platforms while driving innovation through new 3D and AI-assisted visualization tools. This role blends artistry, technical mastery, and strategic creativity to redefine how luxury is experienced online.

This is an in person freelance role with the opportunity to evolve into full time based on future needs of the business. Our office is located at our New York headquarters, located in the TriBeCa design district. 

Responsibilities:
  • Create photorealistic 3D models of furniture pieces by interpreting design specifications, technical drawings, and reference materials to ensure precise dimensions, proportions, and material detailing aligned with luxury standards.
  • Create photorealistic studio and lifestyle renderings of furniture and interiors that embody the brand’s luxury design language.
  • Model and texture high-end furniture and decor pieces, ensuring accuracy in material representation and craftsmanship details.
  • Develop and refine materials, shaders, and lighting setups to achieve exceptional realism and visual harmony.
  • Conceptualize and compose compelling camera angles and interior settings that highlight product form and atmosphere.
  • Render visuals for marketing campaigns, digital platforms, and product showcases, maintaining consistent visual quality across all deliverables.
  • Build and maintain a library of reusable 3D assets, environments, and materials for efficient production workflows.
  • Partner closely with product design, creative, and eCommerce teams to align visuals with brand and campaign objectives.
  • Continuously research and adopt new tools, techniques, and technologies to push the boundaries of visual storytelling and efficiency.
  • Ensure every image reflects the brand’s refined aesthetic, craftsmanship, and elevated design sensibility.
  • Execute high-volume 3D asset production through efficient pipeline development, automation/scripting, and render-queue management 
Qualifications
  • Minimum 4+ years of professional experience in 3D visualization for furniture, interiors, or architecture, preferably within the luxury sector.
  • Proven expertise in 3D modeling with a solid understanding of technical aspects of furniture and lighting such as upholstery details, wood grain, metal and glass texture.
  • Proficient in 3D modeling software, rendering in 3ds Max, post-processing in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and familiar with render engines, render farms, and emerging 3D/AI visualization tools.
  • Advanced understanding of lighting, composition, and post-processing techniques to achieve a refined, cinematic aesthetic.
  • Strong skills in UV mapping, material node setups, and developing realistic textures for fabrics and surfaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce artistic, photorealistic imagery aligned with a luxury brand’s identity, with an eye for composition, lighting, texture and color.
  • Experience collaborating with creative, product, and marketing teams to ensure visual consistency across platforms.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines.
  • Passion for innovation in 3D visualization, with a proactive approach to testing and integrating AI-assisted design tools.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with different levels and departments within  an organization
