2nd Shift Warehouse Manager

This position manages the daily activities of the 2nd shift warehouse to ensure the shift runs Safely and Productively.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor the workflow to ensure orders are accurately and efficiently selected.
• Ensure team members have the appropriate equipment and tools necessary to perform their jobs.
• Monitor the coolers to ensure the proper temperature is maintained.
• Train and coach warehouse personnel as needed.
• Monitor product shrinkage and keep shrink at the lowest possible levels.
• Monitor and maintain a professional work environment with the staff.
• Ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed.
• Report issues personnel issues to Operations Manager and/or HR Manager for appropriate follow up action.
• Fill in and support all areas when necessary.
• Perform other related duties, as required or assigned by Operations Manager

SKILLS & EDUCATION

The skills, knowledge and abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Minimum 2 years of order selection/warehouse experience
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
• Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Attention to detail is extremely important to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
• Good organizational, time management and follow-up skills
• Must be team oriented and possess a positive attitude to motivate others to achieve goals in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism with the ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to use forklift, reach truck, cherry picker, electric pallet jack.
• Demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Exposure to freezer temperatures as low as 0-4 degrees Fahrenheit; cooler temperatures as low as 36-42 degrees Fahrenheit
• Some work areas have concrete floors which may become damp or wet.
